I am employed full time at the moment. Do I need to quit my job in order to join Commercialization Reactor projects?
No, you can stay at your current job and work with the Commercialization Reactor start-up. According to our experience, you will spend about 30% of your time on a project. However, any start-up requires dedication and hard work, and eventually you will have to increase your involvement as the project progresses (e.g. attracts significant funding).
My background is not in science and technology. Can I participate in the Commercialization Reactor?
Yes! It is not necessary to have technological background for Commercialization Reactor entrepreneurs. You will be provided with an expert in science and technologies within your team. Entrepreneurial spirit, open mindedness and enthusiasm are of importance.
I am a student, I don’t have any work experience but I would like to join the Commercialization Reactor. Is it possible?
Students are really welcome to join our start-up teams. You will have an opportunity to work with a team of experienced entrepreneurs and to learn from them. In return, they will expect you to be a motivated, enthusiastic and achievement driven team member.
Will I receive any support from the Commercialization Reactor team in developing my project?
Of course, you will not be left on your own. You will have access to start-up support and advice from our experienced team, from other fellow entrepreneurs, mentors, investors and industry professionals.
I have my own idea / technological project and I want to develop a new business. Is Commercialization Reactor the right place for me?
The Commercialization Reactor develops business projects from existing, pre-selected technologies, assessed by a pool of experts. If you are a scientist who has developed a science-based technology, you can.
I have my own business, and I am looking for new opportunities for my business development. Will Commercialization Reactor projects provide me with such an opportunity?
Commercialization Reactor projects can open a totally new direction for your existing business. However, it is rather unlikely, that the new project can be easily incorporated into your current business model. So be prepared to be flexible.
I am a corporate manager, but I am thinking of starting my own business. Is the Commercialization Reactor a suitable path for me?
No doubt, it is the right place for you, if you have entrepreneurial spirit. Your experience in management will be very valuable, though many new challenges might come your way, and you will need to adapt to the new circumstances. As a reward, you will receive a thrilling life and freedom to create your own business.
Is it expected that a new project will be developed as a global business?
All of our projects are created as cross-border startups, and they are expected to operate internationally. That is why a good command of foreign languages (English, Russian) is needed.
Is there any financial support available for start- ups?
The Commercialization Reactor Fund invests up to 50,000 EUR per startup during the acceleration program (pre-seed investment). It can be supplemented with a follow-up seed round of up to 250,000 EUR after acceleration stage. Seed stage investment is only possible if your start-up has gone through the acceleration program and received the pre-seed investment from our Fund.
